About The Event
Join us on the evening of September 29th as we kick off our Fall series exploring our post-pandemic world. This four-part series hosts guest speakers and expert panels to engage Maine residents in focused, informed discussions on the challenges created by the global pandemic, including the potential responses of the next administration.
For our kick-off event, former Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Asia-Pacific Affairs Susan Thornton considers what the changing dynamics of the critical interaction between the two world powers portend for the future of the existing international order. This session will be moderated by Ambassador (ret.) Judith Fergin. Ambassador Fergin last addressed the Council in Spring 2018 on the topic, "Asia-Pacific View of the U.S. and Why They Matter."
